Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Kirkland, WA
September 2007 Savage Roofing was chosen
to be a part of the Extreme makeover Home Edition "Project 511" in Kirkland
Washington. This project was for the Chapin family, Connie, a single mom of 4
kids who taught swimming lessons in her backyard pool. Their 100 year old house
was on the brink of collapse and contained toxic paint and asbestos. The project
was scheduled for demolition and rebuilding of the new "green" house in just 6
days. When Savage's crew of 20 employees arrived on site, the second story was
not even on the house and the schedule was behind due to weather. Our crew
stepped up and helped out in any way they could including framing, windows,
siding, sheeting and running the forklift. After the tireless work of many
different crews, the new house was unveiled on Thursday October 4th to an
exuberant Chapin family.
